One of the prophetic words which has most shaped us as a church was given to us shortly after Gateway was planted: "Build locally and think internationally".

We have sought to do that ever since.

A passion to see God's Kingdom grow across the nations and people groups of the world is central to our mission, and we aim to do this in two ways:

1. By celebrating the diversity of nations amongst us at Gateway and actively desiring to build with diversity at the core of who we are;
2. By seeking to serve and resource the advance of the gospel in other nations through purposeful relationships with other churches across the world.

Over the past c. 30 years, we've sent many individuals, couples, and families into various nations - both short and long-term - to plant churches, to serve the poor, and to seek transformation through the advance of God's Kingdom.

As part of that, both in the UK and internationally, we are part of Regions Beyond. Regions Beyond is a growing and diverse worldwide family of churches that's committed to planting and strengthening churches across the nations and to loving the poor.

Regions Beyond is led by Steve Oliver, based in South Africa, and is, in turn, part of the wider Newfrontiers network.
