Water Baptism

Next Baptism morning: email for details

Next Exploring and Preparing for Baptism session: Date TBA

What is Water Baptism?

Being baptised (the word means ‘dipped ‘or ‘soaked’) in water is a public statement of your personal salvation; it declares to the world, to the church and to the hosts of heaven that your destiny is now secure with Christ.

It’s not a way to become a Christian, but is a sign that you have already become a Christian. Jesus demonstrated his consecration (being set apart for God’s work) by being baptised in water, and Christians have followed him into the waters of baptism to reflect their dedication to him.

Do you want to get Baptised?

If you would like to be baptised we would ask you to attend the Exploring and Preparing for Baptism Session. This is where baptism will be fully explained and you will have someone alongside you helping you write your testimony and helping you to prepare for this important step. Being baptised is a command of Jesus Christ but sharing your personal story publicly is not a command, so relax!

However, your story can be a major encouragement to the congregation and your guests. If there are a lot of people being baptised in the same meeting, we’ll arrange with some to tell their story while the person leading that part of the meeting to share a brief resumé on behalf of the others.

Please complete the contact form to the right hand side of this page and we’ll be in touch.
