Peter challenged his hearers with the truth of who Jesus was and the fact that they had killed the author of life. Then he showed that Jesus still has power – to heal and to save.
Prayer Points
- Consider some of the titles of Jesus like “the suffering servant”, “wonderful counsellor”, “bread of life”, “good shepherd” – thank Him for all He means to you.
- Look up Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:15 – 23 and ask God that you may know the “incomparably great power for us who believe”.
- Pray that many people will be filled with the Holy Spirit as we gather this evening.
- Pray for those you know are unwell. Ask that they might receive a healing touch from God today? (Here or somewhere else…)
